    Research Studentship for PhD studies (2000 – 2003).

 

• Admitted to the status of Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society (2000).

 

• Awarded, by Kings College the William Robson Memorial Prize in Biochemistry for

    graduating as top of the year (2000).  

 

• Awarded, by Kings’ College London, the Biochemistry Sambrooke Prize for academic   

    performance during the year 1997 – 1998.

 

• Awarded a Half Blue for Volleyball by the Cambridge University Blues Committee and

    represented the UK at the European Universities Volleyball Competition  (2001).

Very good computing knowledge (mainly Windows), including presentation (PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop), graphing and data analysis (Excel, KaleidaGraph), typesetting software (Word, LaTeX) and very comfortable with the use of the Internet. 

 

Successfully completed the Basics of Building a Business Course 2002 organized by the University of Cambridge Entrepreneurship Centre.

 

Worked extensively as a demonstrator for the Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge.  This involved demonstrating laboratory practicals to medical students, providing guidance and inspiration through the practicals and correcting reports.

Fluent in oral and written Greek and English, familiar with Spanish.

 

 

Sports

 

 

Member of the Cambridge University Women’s Volleyball team (2000 – 2002), “Olympiada Neapoleos” Volleyball Team (1995 – 1997) and the Cyprus National Gymnastics Team (1987 – 1994).  Also enjoy squash, badminton and dancing.
